Hi good afternoon my name is Dion and I work for a company called Henchem in South Africa. We have been servicing the golf and turf industry for the last 25 years, and I’ve been with Henchem for the last seven and a half years. We’ve been using OxyTurf extensively for at least the last five years on various golf courses. I serve about 30 golf courses and sports stadiums across the Western Cape, I would say about 60% of them have been using OxyTurf with great success,we have found black layering disappearing, thatch disappearing, sponginess and algae drying up. I can just with the greatest of confidence I recommend OxyTurf plus kelp.

Hi I’m Corniel van Rooyen from Westlake golf club in the Cape (South Africa), I just had a request for some comments on the OxyTurf product.
So I’ve been using it for about a year since I started here (Westlake GC) 12 months ago but I’ve been using it all over South Africa I’ve been on 8 different golf courses and it just works like a bomb.
If you applied it, it is exactly what the product says it’s OxyTurf so it gives oxygen to the root zone. The greens stay healthier for longer, if you’ve got any black layer or algae problems you apply that product at 20 litres a hectare and you water it in for 6 minutes which is about 2 mm of water and it just works like a bomb I’ve never looked back since I started using it.
OxyTurf is the perfect tool in a Turfgrass Manager’s arsenal to combat anaerobic soil conditions and reduce the effect of existing problems associated with a poor conditioned soil such as black layer, algae, moss thinned or stressed turf. For a healthier better turf, I recommend OxyTurf.
I have recommended OxyTurf to golf courses that I consult to. All had similar results with the product.
There was no noticeable change in the profile or turf-grass quality after the first application. The second application a month later shows a slight lightening of the thatch layer. The third application a month after this shows a substantial improvement in the colour of the thatch as well as signs of decomposition. The surface also becomes greener as a result of nutrient salts becoming oxidized.
I prefer this product to hydrogen peroxide-based oxygen products as OxyTurf does not have a spike in pH and nutrients do not become over oxidised causing excessive growth. I relate the more consistent performance to the product being of organic origin.
I will continue to recommend OxyTurf to all my clients as I have incorporated it into my thatch reduction constituent of my programs.
To date, I’ve seen excellent plant development. Aggressive root development. A visible reduction in organic and no visible detrimental effects on the plant. We see a greening of the grass blades and a preventative for the dew which can be seen in the picture below.
I’m fully in support of the product as a market product and know that this is what we need for turf ( thick sod) and for hybrid pitches in football.
6 days post hollowtining with a 19mm tine at 1,5” spacing. 80% Poa greens and we are almost closed up completely. Started with OxyTurf at 40lt/ha last month and 20lt/ha from now on every month. Very happy with the product.
Metropolitan Golf Club had major issues with algae in our irrigation dams. It blocked up the pump intakes daily and covered our dams on the course. The substrate of the dams was not at all visible. After 3 OxyCure applications, the problem was resolved, now we can see the fish in the dams. We will continue with maintenance treatment to keep the dam in this condition.
So far we have only seen good results from using the first application of Makro Organics products. Prior to us using the spray the pitch had come under some stress from 2 fixtures and us having to verti cut x 2 due to the pitch being too thick. After spraying the products as a root drench, we instantly saw an impact in terms of plant health causing the leaf to stand up, a great dark rich green colour and a very fast recovery. Im very happy to say Makro Organic products have complimented/improved our robust fertiliser programme. I am looking forward to seeing what other results we get from using your product in the future.
